The Challenge
O'Hare's IT operations span multiple terminals with 24/7 uptime requirements. The existing email-based alerting system couldn't keep pace — critical server failures and network outages were delayed by minutes or hours, impacting passenger-facing systems.
The Solution
HipLink was deployed to ingest alerts from Nagios, SolarWinds, and custom monitoring agents, routing them through role-based escalation trees. On-call schedules ensured the right engineers were reached instantly, with automatic escalation if no acknowledgement was received.
